AUDITION TYPE:

In-Person or Video Submission

AUDITION DATES:

Video Submission: While it is always recommended to attend our Academy auditions in-person, students unable to do so may submit their audition by video using the form linked below. The deadline for virtual audition submissions is JULY 20, 2025.

In-Person Auditions: Students auditioning in-person only need to attend one of the below dates.

Thursday, May 22 / 4:30 – 7:30PM

Friday, July 18 / 4:30 – 7:30PM

AUDITION INFORMATION:

Prospective TUTS Academy students can use the Academy Application form linked below to submit their audition application for the 2025/2026 HSMT Academy. All incoming Academy students must be at least 12 years of age by 12/31/2025. Recently graduated students may also apply if taking a gap year.

Returning TUTS Academy students can use the Academy Application form to submit videos for course disciplines they did not take during the 24/25 Academy year. 

REQUIRED AUDITION MATERIALS: Please CLICK HERE to review audition requirements. In order to place our students properly we will be administering an online music theory test, which must be completed by all new students and any returning students seeking music placements. A link to this online test will be provided in the confirmation email once an application is submitted.

After auditioning, new students can expect to hear back on their admission status in early August.

PRE-PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMS: Information on auditions for TUTS Pre-Professional Programs, such as The TUTS Pre-Professional Company and TUTS Performance Troupe, will be available on the Pre-Professional Programs webpage in late Spring. This information will also be included in the registration email for any students admitted to the Academy.
